2019 James Beard Book Award Winners!
Congratulations to Artisan Books, who have a pair of 2019 James Beard Book Award winners in Buttermilk Graffiti and Saladish. The winners were announced on Friday, April 26 in New York.
Buttermilk Graffiti by Edward Lee won the 2019 James Beard Award for Best Book of the Year in Writing.
Saladish by Ilene Rosen won the 2019 James Beard Award for Best Book of the Year in Vegetable-Focused Cooking.
Finalists for this year’s awards also included I am a Filipino by Nicole Ponseca & Miguel Trinidad (Finalist, International), while Alana Newhouse, author of The 100 Most Jewish Foods, was nominated in the Innovative Storytelling category for the Tablet Magazine story that inspired the book.
