Author Bio

Astrea Taylor is an eclectic pagan witch with over two and a half decades of experience in the witching world. She’s the author of Air Magic and Intuitive Witchcraft. She has a bachelor’s degree in science from Antioch College and a master’s degree in environmental sciences from Wright State University, which inform her scientific takes on spirituality. In her spare time, she presents workshops and rituals online and at festivals across the country, and occasionally she blogs as Starlight Witch on Patheos Pagan. Find her on Instagram @astreataylor, on Facebook at Astrea Taylor, Author, and on Twitter @AstreaWrites.

Kelden (Minnesota) has been practicing Traditional Witchcraft for more than a decade. He is the author of The Crooked Path: An Introduction to Traditional Witchcraft. Additionally, his writing has appeared in The Witch's Altar, The New Aradia: A Witch's Handbook to Magical Resistance, and This Witch magazine. Kelden is also the cocreator of The Traditional Witch's Deck, and he authors a blog on the Patheos Pagan channel called By Athame and Stang. In his free time, Kelden enjoys reading, hiking, growing poisonous plants, and playing ukulele.

Thorn Mooney is a Witch of more than twenty years and the high priestess of Foxfire, a traditional Gardnerian coven thriving in the American South. She holds graduate degrees in religious studies and English literature and has worked as a university lecturer, public school teacher, academic journal manager, tarot reader, writer, and musician. Thorn maintains a longstanding YouTube channel, has been blogging about Witchcraft and the occult for more than a decade, and is a regular at Pagan festivals throughout the United States. She lives in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Kate Freuler has practiced witchcraft for over twenty-five years. She has written for Llewellyn's Magical Almanac, Sabbats Almanac, and Spell-A-Day Almanac. Kate owns and operates an online store called White Moon Witchcraft. She lives in Ontario.

Raechel Henderson is a Pagan and witch, following an eclectic and independent path. She currently works with Hestia and Turtle in her magical practice. She contributes articles to Llewellyn’s almanacs and calendars and she blogs about magic, creativity, and living by your own patterns. Raechel is a dual class seamstress/shieldmaiden and has been sewing professionally since 2008. She is also the author of Sew Witchy (Llewellyn, 2018). Raechel lives in Chicago.

Diana Rajchel began her career planning to serve as clergy and write about all subjects spiritual. It did not occur to her or anyone else to say with what agency she might assume priesthood. The result of this oversight in intention setting is that she is now an itinerant city priestess, well-practiced witch, and somewhat unintentional subversive. Her background includes Wicca, folk witchcraft, conjure, and a whole lot of experience organizing people that don’t like knowing that they’re organized. Diana splits her time between San Francisco, California, where she co-owns Golden Apple Metaphysical, and southwestern Michigan, where she runs Earth and Sun spiritual coaching with her partner. In between her wanderings she teaches as part of the Magick 101 series for Wicked Grounds Annex in San Francisco, and teaches and reads tarot at Elements Kalamazoo in Michigan. Diana has 25 years’ experience as a professional tarot reader and western herbalist and has 29 years’ experience as a professional writer. She is also the pet DragonCat to a very ladylike boxer named Nora.

Gwion Raven is a tattooed Pagan, writer, traveler, musician, cook, kitchen witch, occult shop owner, and teacher. Although initiated in three magickal traditions, Gwion describes his practice as virtually anything that celebrates the wild, sensuous, living, breathing, dancing, ecstatic, divine experiences of this lifetime.

Born and raised in London, England, he now resides in Northern California and shares space with redwood trees, the Pacific Ocean, and his beloved partner.
